Small Claims

The Ontario Small Claims court is a branch of the Superior Court of Justice that deals with an array of civil disputes, including but not limited to, breach of contract, property damage, wrongful termination, personal injury claims and others. With a monetary limit of $35,000, Small Claims Court provides plaintiffs and defendants with a cost-effective and efficient remedy to resolve their disputes. If you are thinking of filing a claim, you have 2 (two) years from the date of the incident or occurrence to commence a claim. If you miss this two-year mark, you will lose your right to make this claim. If you have a Plaintiff's Claim served on you, you have twenty (20) days to file your defence against the claim. If you need legal assistance with a small claims matter, Julia Bradley Law is prepared to represent and assist you.
